The start:
There are a lot of runners for this year's Odense City Half. To ensure everyone has a good experience, we have therefore divided the half-marathon runners into start groups to manage the start as well as possible and at the same time ensure all runners have a good race.

Kids’ Run
All runners start in the starting box at the starting gate.

5 & 10 km – Start 11:00 AM
All runners start in the starting box at the starting gate.

Half Marathon
Expected finish time

Expected finish time

1:45 AM to 3:00 AM

The runners must take up position in the starting pens on Ny Vestergade. The groups will be escorted across the road as the start approaches.

Will come later.

The Course is a 5 km loop in central Odense (DAF-measured).

5 or 10 km races complete the loop either once or twice.

Half Marathon runs the loop four times, plus an additional 1.097 km loop on the first lap.

The Kids´Run consists of two laps in Munke Mose, providing plenty of opportunities for cheering and creating a fun atmosphere for the children.

General Guidance Please keep to the right on Dronningensgade, as it is a one-way street and there may be oncoming vehicles.

Keep right under the finish arch to cross the finish line. Participants running the Half Marathon or 10 km should stay to the left.

In general keep right, to allow other participants to overtake safely.

On the course, aid stations are located at approximately 2.5 km and at the start.

This means that if you are running the 10 km or Half Marathon, you will have access to an aid station approximately every 2.5 km, as the course is a 5 km loop.

There are pacesetters for the half marathon with finishing times of 1:30, 1:45 and 2:00.

HOW YOUR TIME IS RECORDED

Chip Timing: Your finish time is automatically recorded using a timing chip located on the back of your race bib.

Gross Time The time recorded from the official start signal until you cross the finish line.

Net Time The time recorded from the moment you cross the start line until you cross the finish line. Your race bib must be worn visibly on the front of your T-shirt and must not be folded or bent.

All participants have three hours to complete.

The maximum time will be marked by two cyclists cycling at the rear.
If you arrive after the cyclists, you must follow the traffic regulations – the marshals will go home and the aid stations will pack up.

You must have passed the indicated kilometre markers before the cut-off times below:

The second half should start at 11:55
The 3rd round is scheduled to start at 12:35.
The 4th round is to be started at 13:15.

Headphones are not permitted during the race for safety reasons, this includes open-ear headphones such as Shokz. As the route is a circuit, it is important that all runners can hear instructions from officials, cyclists, and other runners who may be overtaking. Instead, you can enjoy the green spaces and the buzz of the city.
