Autumn race

Running in the most beautiful colours of the forest

HCA Marathon invites - young and old - to a day of running in nature

The whole family can take part in the Autumn Run, regardless of skill level. Run or walk 5 km on a scenic, beautiful and inspiring 5 km circular route through Kohaveskoven - a unique area in Odense. You can also choose to sign up for the 10 km and then run the route twice.

Even the youngest can join in on a fun 2.5 km children's route around Alléskolen, so there's something for all ages and levels.

After the race there will be hot soup, bread, crispy apples, spring water and a refreshing Faxe Kondi for all participants - a perfect way to end an active day together. So bring the family and make the Autumn Run a day filled with movement, nature and fun!

The scenic route is a 5 km loop through Kohaveskoven, which is run once for the 5 km runners. For 10 km runners, the route is completed twice, so remember to keep left at the finish gate after the first lap to continue.

The children's race is a 1.25 kilometre route around Alléskolen that will be run twice.

Remember: Run or walk no more than two people side by side and always keep to the right to allow room for overtaking on the left. If you're taking part in the 5km walk, also keep to the right to allow the 10km runners to pass.

KOHAVESKOVEN
The majority of Kohaveskoven is a fenced area where cows and horses roam freely throughout the area. A large part of the route takes place inside the enclosure. Odense Municipality and the owner of the animals have assessed that the race can easily be completed, as the animals normally move away from people and head for other places.
We will also check the route shortly before the race to ensure that the animals are not near the route. For those who know the area, we can inform you that there will be a volunteer at the cattle grids in and out of the area and they will be covered with road plates so that it is safe to pass.

There is a hydration station for the 10 km runners after about 5 km.

Dogs are not allowed for the safety of other participants.

Earphones are not allowed during the race for safety reasons. As the route is a circular race, it is important that all runners can hear instructions from officials, cyclists and other runners who are overtaking. Instead, you can enjoy nature and its sounds.

HOW YOUR TIME IS RECORDED

Chip Timing: Your finish time is automatically recorded using a timing chip located on the back of your race bib.

Gross Time The time recorded from the official start signal until you cross the finish line.

Net Time The time recorded from the moment you cross the start line until you cross the finish line.

Your race bib must be worn visibly on the front of your T-shirt and must not be folded or bent.

After the race

In the target depot you will be offered spring water, Faxe Kondi, an apple and hot soup with bread inside the hall at Ung Odense.

After the race, you can check your time and print your event certificate through the results list.

There are prizes for 1st - 2nd - 3rd M/K on 5 km (run) and 10 km from Kaiser Sport and Orthopaedics. Remember to be present at 11.45 and 12.00.
